Stephen (Steve) Trent covers the Americas Airlines and Latin Transports sectors for Citi Research. In his tenure at the firm, which stretches back to 1999, Steve has also covered the Latin America cement and construction sector. Prior to Citi, he worked for two and a half years as a rotating corporate finance associate with Banc of America Securities. Steve has been Institutional Investor (II)-ranked 12 times in the Latin America transport sector, including Runner-Up in 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021. Separately, he received a #3 ranking in transports in II’s All Brazil poll in 2007. In Starmine , Steve was the #1 ranked Airline stock picker for 2020, the #3 ranked Latin America Industrials stock picker for 2019 and the #2 ranked earnings estimator for the latter sector in 2018. He also achieved several top five rankings in the Greenwich Survey for Latin America transportations, including #1 and #2 in 2010 and 2011, respectively. Steve has an MBA degree from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and earned his BA degree at University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated magna cum laude.
