Walter has 25+ years of combined aviation experience and has closed over
300 lease, sale-lease-backs and sales transactions. Walter is based in Miami
and is the Head of Americas Sales at DAE Capital. He leads a high-performance
sales team in expanding customer relationships and DAE’s business footprint
in the Americas which includes over 20 customers and 100+ aircraft in nine
countries. Walter is a frequent guest speaker and panelist at aviation events.
Previously, Walter led the AWAS origination team for The Americas for ten
years. In this role, he managed and expanded AWAS’ presence in the region
to include the continent’s leading airline groups and billions of dollars in new
business. Before joining AWAS, he was Vice President at CIT Aerospace where
he was responsible for commercial activities in Southern Europe and the
Americas.


Walter was with the Boeing Company in Seattle for six years in a progression
of assignments in engineering, marketing and sales. He started his career in
aerodynamics engineering with McDonnell Douglas in Long Beach, California.
Walter holds Master and Bachelor degrees in Aerospace Engineering from the
University of Southern California and the University of Florida, respectively.
He has also conducted doctoral studies in Mathematics at the Claremont
Graduate School in Claremont, California.


Walter has published extensively in Aerodynamics and is a recipient of the best
publication award by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
For the research contributions made in his career in wing & airfoil theory,
aircraft icing, takeoff and landing aerodynamics, propeller and wind-turbine
computational fluid dynamics, Walter is the youngest recipient of Ecuador’s
National Order of Merit at the grade of Knight.
